House of Dance has an award winning Full-Time Competitive program that provides dancers with all the tools and skills to be successful in the competitive dance industry as well as setting them up for success in the professional world of dance once they graduate! The competition program is a great way for your child to be involved in a team setting. We work hard with each dancer to achieve their personal best and to reach their goals.
This a program that involves commitment and focus as dancers train between 8-12 hours per week in various styles.

What age groups do we have?

We start our Full-Time competitive program from the age of 8 to 18.

What kind of experience does my child need?

Your child should have previous competitive dance experience for this program.

What is the commitment like?

In our full-time competitive program, dancers train between 8-12 hours per week (3 days a week) in ballet, jazz, contemporary, Acro, Hip-Hop and tap. They compete in 4 group dances and attend four competitions in the spring. They also get to perform in two shows at a theatre at the end of March and beginning of June.

What will my child gain from this experience?

Your child will learn what it’s like to be a part of a team and gain long lasting friendships in a supportive and friendly environment. Dance is a great form of physical activity and instills great focus within your child. Working towards competitions will give your child a purpose to push themselves to be their best and there is no better feeling then dancing on stage with the lights, cameras and audience!

How do we join the team?

We set up a private assessment with your child to assess their flexibility, co-ordination and technique. The assessment is very relaxed and stress free, we like to make your child feel comfortable. If we feel like the full-time competitive program is a great fit for your child, we then send you the package which includes the fees and competition info.
